Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Accepting The Marina Park And Powell Steet Lighting Project No. EPW-22105 (CIP No. 17495012) As Complete; And Authorizing The City Engineer To File A Notice Of Completion With The Alameda County Clerk
WHEREAS, on March 14, 2023, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a Construction Contract with Columbia Electric, Inc. of San Leandro, CA in an amount of $944,250.00 with added alternative bid items of $455,400.00 for a total contract amount of $1,399,650.00 to perform the work of project (Resolution No. 23-08); and WHEREAS, the Project was substantially completed in Fall 2024, but work was extended into Spring 2025 with the contingency amount to complete work that was not anticipated; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work for this project generally included, but was not limited to, the replacement of existing light poles and fixtures, new light pole and LED light fixtures, replacing bollard pathway lights, trenching, and other related electrical work in the Emeryville Marina parking lots and Powell Street median areas; and WHEREAS, in addition, Columbia Electric installed custom painted light poles and bollards, installed additional photocells, repaired/replaced conduits, relocated irrigation lines in conflict with light pole foundations, and furnished/installed additional light bollards along the pathway on south side of the Marina Park; and WHEREAS, Columbia Electric completed the work of the project for a total cost of $1,364,382.74 which is less than the Contract amount of $1,399,650.00; and WHEREAS, the Project is complete and ready for acceptance by the City Council, and the City Engineer must now file a Notice of Completion with the Alameda Conty Clerk; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the construction of the Marina Park and Powell Street Lighting Project, Project No. EPW-22105 (CIP No. 17495012) is complete; and, be it, further
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville the City Engineer can file a Notice of Completion with the Alameda County Clerk.
