Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into A Professional Services Agreement With Patatas, LLC In An Amount Not To Exceed $156,158.40 Per Fiscal Year 2025-2026 And 2026-2027 For A Total Of $312,329.48 To Provide Food Service At The Emeryville Child Development Center
WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville provides childcare services at the Emeryville Child Development Center (“Center”), located at 1220 53rd Street, Emeryville, California; and WHEREAS, the City desires to provide a meal program for the children enrolled at the Center; and
WHEREAS, the Center is required to provide meals to all participants as part of the program and as a requirement for receiving funding from the State of California; and WHEREAS, the City and Contractor will enter into a Professional Services Contract on September 2, 2025 (“Contract”) with Patatas, LLC. to provide daily meal service at the Center; and
WHEREAS, the City staff prepared an RFP and invited interested vendors to submit proposals via email, mail, or hand delivery in May 28, 2025 - June 9, 2025. Two vendors responded to the RFP, Patatas, LLC and Latin Asian Fusion Kitchen.
WHEREAS, Patatas, LLC proposal meets the qualifications of the ideal food vendor, and the proposal included all the required items. The Contractor will provide lunch and milk service Monday through Friday; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Contract with Patatas, LLC in an amount not to exceed $156,158.40 per fiscal year 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 not to exceed a total of $312,329.48.
