MINUTES OF THE ENCINITAS CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 29, 2022, 6:00 P.M., 505 SOUTH VULCAN AVENUE
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Blakespear called the meeting to order at 6:09 p.m.
Present: Mayor Catherine S. Blakespear, Deputy Mayor Joe Mosca, Council Members Kellie Shay Hinze, Tony Kranz, and Joy Lyndes
Absent: None
Also present: Assistant City Manager Campbell, City Attorney Preziosi, City Clerk Hollywood, and Deputy City Clerk Weichers
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.
AGENDA ITEMS
1. Recognition of Outgoing Mayor Catherine Blakespear.
Mayor Blakespear introduced and expressed appreciation to her family. She reflected on her time and accomplishments as a City Council Member and elected Mayor.
Deputy Mayor Mosca, Council Members Lyndes, Hinze, and Kranz presented Mayor Blakespear with a key to the City and provided comments in recognition of outgoing Mayor Catherine Blakespear.
Assemblywoman Tasha Boerner Horvath presented Mayor Blakespear and Deputy Mayor Mosca with Certificates of Recognition.
SPEAKERS:
Danny Salzhandler, Judy Berlfein, Naimeh Woodward, Kris Powell, Marlon Taylor, Kevin Doyle, Marco Gonzalez, Mali Woods, Gaby Love, and Jim Wang spoke in recognition of outgoing Mayor Blakespear.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Blakespear adjourned the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
