MINUTES OF THE ENCINITAS CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 5, 2023, 3:00 P.M., 505 SOUTH VULCAN AVENUE
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Kranz called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m.
Present: Mayor Tony Kranz, Deputy Mayor Joy Lyndes, Council Members Allison Blackwell, Bruce Ehlers, and Kellie Shay Hinze
Absent: None
Also present: City Manager Antil, City Attorney Preziosi, Assistant City Manager Campbell, Director of Administrative Services Schwarm, Development Services Director Sapa’u, Deputy City Attorney Rosemary Koo, City Clerk Hollywood, and Deputy City Clerk Weichers
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

Mayor and City Council adjourned into Closed Session at 3:04 p.m.
Mayor and City Council reconvened the meeting into open session at 5:09 p.m.
Council Member Blackwell left the meeting at 5:09 p.m.

REPORT FROM CLOSED SESSION
City Attorney Preziosi reported that the City Council held a Closed Session at approximately 3:04 p.m., to consider two items. Regarding Closed Session Agenda Item 1, the City Council took one reportable action to designate Peter Curry, Cushman & Wakefield, to act as the City’s negotiator. Regarding Closed Session Agenda Item 2, there was no reportable action.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Kranz adjourned the meeting at 5:10 p.m.
