MINUTES OF THE ENCINITAS CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
JANUARY 24, 2024, 4:00 P.M., 505 SOUTH VULCAN AVENUE
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Kranz called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor Tony Kranz, Deputy Mayor Allison Blackwell, Council Members Bruce Ehlers and Joy Lyndes
Absent: Council Member Kellie Shay Hinze
Also present: City Attorney Preziosi, City Manager Antil, Assistant City Manager Campbell, Deputy City Manager Sapa’u, Administrative Services Director Schwarm, Special Counsel Mitch Dean (Items 1-3), City Clerk Hollywood, and Deputy City Clerk Weichers
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

Mayor and City Council adjourned into Closed Session at 4:04 p.m.
REPORT FROM CLOSED SESSION
City Attorney Preziosi reported that the City Council held a Closed Session at approximately 4:00 p.m., to discuss six items, and there were no reportable actions for Items 1-4. He reported that Council Member Hinze was absent from the Closed Session.
Regarding Closed Session Items 5-6, City Attorney Preziosi reported these items were not heard.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Kranz adjourned the Closed Session meeting at 5:44 p.m.
