MINUTES OF THE ENCINITAS CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 19, 2024, 5:00 P.M., 505 SOUTH VULCAN AVENUE
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Kranz called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor Tony Kranz, Deputy Mayor Allision Blackwell, and Council Members Bruce Ehlers, Joy Lyndes, and Kellie Shay Hinze
Absent: None
Also present: Assistant City Manager Campbell (Item #1), Deputy City Manager Sapa’u (Item #1), City Attorney Preziosi (Items #1-2), Administrative Services Director Schwarm (Items #1-2), Fire Chief Gordon (Item #1), Special Counsel Scott Noya (Item #1), City Clerk Hollywood, and Deputy City Clerk Weichers
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

Mayor and City Council adjourned into Closed Session at 5:05 p.m.
Mayor and City Council returned to Open Session at 5:23 p.m.
REPORT FROM CLOSED SESSION
City Attorney Preziosi reported that the City Council held a Closed Session at approximately 5:00 p.m., to discuss two items. Regarding Item #1, while in Closed Session the City Council gave direction to the City’s real property negotiators to further negotiate, in addition the existing Real Property Negotiation Subcommittee (Council Member Ehlers and Mayor Kranz), the City Council appointed Council Member Lyndes effective December 10, to be the second member of the Real Property Negotiation Subcommittee along with Mayor Elect Ehlers. Regarding Closed Session Item #2, the City Council took no reportable action on this item.
