MINUTES OF THE ENCINITAS CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 19, 2024, 6:00 P.M., 505 SOUTH VULCAN AVENUE
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Kranz called the meeting to order at 6:27 p.m.
Present: Mayor Tony Kranz, Deputy Mayor Allison Blackwell, Council Members Bruce Ehlers and Joy Lyndes
Absent: Council Member Kellie Shay Hinze
Also present: Assistant City Manager Campbell, City Attorney Preziosi, Director of Engineering Bankston, Principal Engineer Widelski, City Clerk Hollywood, and Deputy City Clerk Weichers
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.
AGENDA ITEMS
1. City Council initiated item from Mayor Kranz regarding discussion of Storm Water projects for possible Proposition 4 applications. Contact Person: Mayor Kranz
Recommended Action: Recommend staff be directed to prepare an agenda item for December that would identify a strategy for pursuing Proposition 4 grants.
Mayor Kranz presented the Council initiated item.
SPEAKERS:
Donna Westbrook and Gary Murphy spoke regarding this item.
Director of Engineering Bankston responded to questions from the Council.
COUNCIL ACTION:
Lyndes moved, Kranz seconded to direct staff to prepare an agenda item for a future meeting that would identify a strategy for pursuing Proposition 4 grants.
Motion Carried. Ayes: Blackwell, Ehlers, Kranz, and Lyndes. Nays: None.
Absent: Hinze. Abstain: None.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Kranz adjourned the meeting at 7:02 p.m.
