04/22/2026 Regular Meeting Page 5 Mtg. #2026-____, Bk#41, Page __ CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 and 15302. The project is exempt from environmental review per CEQA pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 – Existing Facilities, which is a Class 1 exemption. Class 1 exemptions, “consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographic features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use.” The proposed scope of work includes the removal and replacement of existing playground equipment, safety surfacing and drainage improvements for the existing community park. This work is expected to take place within the general vicinity of the existing playground and would involve negligible expansion of the existing use of the facility and would not affect the use or function of the existing park.
The project is exempt from environmental review per CEQA pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15302 – Replacement or Reconstruction, which is a Class 2 exemption.
