MINUTES OF THE ENCINITAS CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 27, 2026, 3:30 P.M., 505 SOUTH VULCAN AVENUE,
ENCINITAS, CA 92024
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Ehlers called the meeting to order at 3:31 p.m.
Present: Mayor Bruce Ehlers, Deputy Mayor Jim O’Hara (arrived at 3:33 p.m.), Council Members Joy Lyndes, Marco San Antonio, and Luke Shaffer
Absent: None
Also present: City Manager Campbell, Interim City Attorney Thind, Assistant City Manager Schwarm, Fire Chief Gordon, City Clerk Weichers, and Deputy City Clerk Rapp
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.
CLOSED SESSION
1. CLOSED SESSION: CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR AUTHORITY: Government Code Section 54956.8
PROPERTY: APN# 265-354-04-00, 770 Rancho Santa Fe Road, Encinitas, CA
CITY NEGOTIATORS: Jace Schwarm Assistant City Manager and Josh Gordon, Fire Chief
TO NEGOTIATE WITH: Doris Reva, Owner of Rancho Santa Fe Road Associates, LLC
UNDER NEGOTIATION: Lease Price and Terms
There were no public speakers.
The Mayor and City Council adjourned into Closed Session at 3:32 p.m.
REPORT FROM CLOSED SESSION
At the Regular 6:00 p.m. City Council Meeting Interim City Attorney Thind reported that the City Council held a Closed Session at approximately 3:30 p.m. to hear one item listed on the Closed Session Agenda, and there was no reportable action.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Ehlers adjourned the meeting at 3:59 p.m.
