Drawing upon your experience as an off-duty Battalion Chief, you immediately recognized the urgency of the situation and took decisive action. Your intervention provided precious time until emergency personnel arrived and directly contributed to saving a life. Today, that individual is alive in large part because of your unwavering commitment to serving others—even while off duty.
