NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the Escondido City Council will be held on September 10, 2026 at 3:00 PM in the Escondido City Council Chambers, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, California 92025.
This Special Meeting is called pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956 for the purpose of conducting interviews of candidates for the position of City Attorney.
The call and notice of this Special Meeting have been provided in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act. The agenda for the Special Meeting has been posted at least 24 hours prior to the meeting in a location freely accessible to members of the public and on the City's internet website, as required by applicable law.
The business to be transacted or discussed at this Special Meeting is limited to the matters specifically identified on this agenda. No other business may be considered by the City Council at this Special Meeting.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
In addition to speaking during particular agenda items, the public may address the Council on any item which is not on the agenda provided the item is within t he subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council. State law prohibits the Council from discussing or taking action on such items, but the matter may be referred to the City Manager/staff or scheduled on a subsequent agenda. Speakers are limited to only one opportunity to address the Council under Oral Communications.
