SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ETNA CITY COUNCIL
Monday May 5, 2025
Members of the Etna City Council met on this 5
th day of May in person. Mayor Cliff Munson
called the meeting to order.
1. Call to Order:
a. Pledge of Allegiance
b. Roll Call
Councilmembers Jason Deppen, Mayor Cliff Munson, and John Stacher were present.
Councilmembers Charnna Gilmore, and Brandon Fawaz were absent.
2. Public Comment:
None.
3. Current Business:
a. State Mandated Training (AB 1234): Open Meeting Laws, State Ethics, and Public Records
City Attorney Andrew Jared was present in person to give the AB 1234 training to the Councilmembers. No action taken.
4. Closed Session: (Government Code §54950 et. Seq)
a. Public Employment (Pursuant to Government Code §54957
1. Fire Department – Volunteer Firefighter
Mayor Munson reported out of Closed Session. The Council unanimously approved hiring a volunteer firefighter.
