The City Council of the City of Eureka met in REGULAR Session on the above date, 5:00 P.M. Closed Session, 6:00 P.M. Open Session, at the Eureka City Hall, Council Chambers, 531 “K” Street, Eureka.

A) MAYOR'S ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Bergel was able to attend CalCities dinner in Fortuna with other Redwood Empire Councilmembers, attended Wiyot Days and attended the last Summer Concert, Regular City Council Meeting

also attended HCOAG meeting. Mayor Bergel would like to remind everyone that Sunday was Overdose Awareness Day. Mayor Bergel will be attending Defend Democracy Day. Mayor Bergel also encourages the Public to attend Strategic Visioning on Saturday September 6th at City Hall.

A.2 Proclamation-National Day of Service - Councilmember Moulton presented a Proclamation for National Day of Service.
A.3 Proclamation-Coastal Cleanup Month - Councilmember Castellano presented a Proclamation for Coastal Clean Up Month.
A.4 Coast Central 75th Anniversary Celebration Proclamation - Councilmember Fernandez presented a Proclamation for Coast Central 75th Anniversary Celebration.

Councilmember Castellano, reminded the Public about Strategic Visioning, attended CalCities Redwood Empire Division meeting in Fortuna, hosted, EMS Economic Vitality meeting, attended HCOAG meeting.
Councilmember Moulton, most recent 2x2's have been postponed due to summer. Arts Alive will be happening, September 14th Defend Democracy Fair at Madaket Plaza, October 11th Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Councilmember Fernandez, attended Redwood Region Economic Committee meeting, attended local Labor Day Activities, will be at Defend Democracy Fair.

Councilmember Bauer, attended last Friday Night Market, attended status of Healthcare workshop, attended Rotary Fundraiser, attended Redwood Empire CalCities meeting in Fortuna. Will attend Defend Democracy event. Elected Vice Chair of Environmental Quality for CalCities.

F.1 Bayside Village Fence Replacement - Assistant Planner Henry Baker provided a report. Public Hearing Opened/Closed 6:56PM
No Members of the Public addressed the Council on this Matter.
Leslie Castellano moved, seconded by Kati Moulton, Hold a public hearing; and Adopt Resolution No. 2025- 27 finding the project exempt from CEQA and conditionally approving a modification to the Coastal Development Permit for the Bayside Village to replace a portion of the existing fence and install new gates, motion Carried.

G.3 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between the City of Eureka and Blue Lake Rancheria- Dock B - Ciara Emery from Blue Lake Rancheria and Project Manager Swan Asbury provided a report.

G. Mario Fernandez moved, seconded by Leslie Castellano, Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Eureka and Blue Lake Rancheria regarding collaboration on the planning, design, and potential redevelopment of Dock B., motion Carried.
