SUBJECT: Reappoint Deborah Benson, John Romaidis, and Jane Richardson Mack to the Tree Advisory Committee

RECOMMENDATION
Reappoint Deborah Benson, John Romaidis, and Jane Richardson Mack to the Tree Advisory Committee.
DISCUSSION
The Tree Advisory Committee consists of five members as follows: one member of the Planning Commission, one member of the Parks and Recreation Commission, and one member of the Open Space Committee to be selected by their respective bodies (Committees), and two at-large members to be appointed by the Town Council. The Town Council may appoint a member at large to the vacancy created when one or more of the above-referenced committees does not appoint one of its members to the Tree Advisory Committee.
The Town Code was amended in 2021 to set terms of three years from the date of appointment for at-large members of the Tree Advisory Committee.
Three at-large members’ terms are expiring this month:
Deborah Benson
John Romaidis
Jane Richardson Mack
Each of the three members has indicated a desire and willingness to continue their service on the committee, which is much appreciated. If appointed tonight, their terms would expire in three years.
