SUBJECT: Approve sponsorship of temporary closure of Dominga and Napa Avenues following the Halloween parade
RECOMMENDATION
Sponsor the temporary closure of Dominga and Napa Avenues following the Halloween parade.
DISCUSSION
For a number of years, the Town has sponsored the temporary closure of Dominga and Napa Avenues following the Chamber of Commerce annual Halloween Parade downtown, to create a safe gathering area in the neighborhood for families celebrating the holiday.
The Chamber has indicated they would like to have the streets closed again this year.
The sponsorship request before the Council will allow staff to waive any permit fees required for the street closure. Staff also allows the neighborhood to use Town A-frame barriers and signs for the street closure.
FISCAL IMPACT
Minimal loss of permit fees
