SUBJECT: Interview applicant Sheryl Shakeshaft and consider her appointment to the Climate Action Committee

RECOMMENDATION
Interview applicant Sheryl Shakeshaft and consider her appointment to the Climate Action Committee for a 2-year term to November 16, 2024.
DISCUSSION
The Climate Action Committee (“CAC”) was established to create and implement the Climate Action Plan, per the Conservation Element of the adopted 2010-2030 General Plan. The membership of the CAC was recently amended to number at least five and no more than seven members, with terms of new members set at two years. The Committee has only two members at present, leaving them unable to meet for lack of a quorum.
There are currently 3 to 5 vacancies on the CAC. Two applications have been received. The attached application is from Fairfax resident Sheryl Shakeshaft. Sheryl was not able to attend a meeting, as there was none due to lack of a quorum.
