To:Fairfax Town Council <[email protected]> Dear Fairfax Town Council,
My name is William and I am once again emailing you all as a Fairfax resident that is in support of adopting the amended rent stabilization and just cause evictiction ordinances.
As a young person (early 20s) I've witnessed how exclusive housing in Marin can be. Implementing these ordinances are an important part in creating a Fairfax where young people like myself can actually imagine living here and staying near our family. I know many who have not been able to live here due to exorbitant prices from landlords, who have been unable to work where they live, or have been pushed out from our community due to a concern for profit rather than people.
I'm urging you to please make the just choice and implement these policies. I'm so grateful that the council has undertaken this process and I'm hopeful for a future in which myself, my friends, and my family, aren't fearful of eviction, displacement, and unjust housing economics.
Let's keep families in their homes!!
Warmly,
William Roddy
