Reappoint Robert Jansen to the Fairfax Planning Commission
RECOMMENDATION
Reappoint Robert Jansen for another full four-year term to the Fairfax Planning Commission, effective February 1, 2024, through January 31, 2028.
BACKGROUND
The Fairfax Planning Commission, consisting of seven residents appointed by the Town Council, plays a vital role in reviewing planning applications, Fairfax ordinances, and advising the Town Council on planning policies and regulations, including the Town General Plan and Housing Element.
Robert Jansen, currently serving as Chair, has been a key member of the Commission, contributing his expertise and experience effectively. His term expired at the end of January.
DISCUSSION
Robert Jansen has demonstrated a strong commitment to the goals and responsibilities of the Planning Commission. His reappointment will ensure continuity and stability in the Commission's function, particularly in overseeing critical planning and regulatory matters. His experience and knowledge have been invaluable in past deliberations and decisions, contributing positively to the Commission's work.
