SUBJECT: Reappoint Michael Ardito and Ruth Horn to the Fairfax Open Space Committee
RECOMMENDATION
Reappoint Ruth Horn and Michael Ardito, each for another full 4-year term, to the Fairfax Open Space Committee (“FOSC”).
DISCUSSION
Ruth Horn’s and Michael Ardito’s terms are set to expire on June 30, 2024. A recruitment was not conducted since both members are willing and able to serve another term. There are no active vacancies on the Committee.
Ruth Horn has served on FOSC since its inception. She is the only current member to have been on the committee since the beginning and offers a wealth of institutional knowledge. Fortunately, Ruth is willing to serve another term.
Michael Ardito has served on FOSC since 2008. He is currently the Secretary of the Committee and has also acted as Chair in the past. Michael’s organizational and leadership skills have been invaluable to FOSC, and the Town is fortunate he wishes to continue.
