SUBJECT Supplement to Agenda Item #13 Adopt Resolution Amending the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Fairfax Police Officer’s Association (FPOA) for the Period of July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027
RECOMMENDATION
Correct Corporal pay in the Salary Range Table.
It is now calculated by adding 2.5% to Corporal and then applying the 6% COLA. This was negotiated to increase the incentive for taking on the Corporal supervisory work, and then all POA positions receive 6% COLA. This results in approximately $11 per month more per corporal than previously posted calculations, which had been figured as if it was an 8.5% COLA for Corporals only in the first year (6% for all others), and then 5% COLA in year 2, and 4% COLA in year 3.
