DISCUSSION
At its September 2017 meeting, the Council discussed design concepts for the Parkade (parking lot in downtown). During the meeting, public comments were received stating that the Parkade design concepts and potential long range traffic concepts were the "first steps" for supporting the concept of closing Solinas Rd at Broadway.

The Council reiterated at the meeting that the Town was:
• NOT exploring or considering the closure of Solinas Road and • NOT continuing with the development of the Town Center Plan.

The Council previously made these statements at its October 5 and December 12, 2016 Council meetings to discuss the summary report from the Oct. 1st Town Center Plan workshop. The written staff reports accompanying the items also included the Council's decision to not explore/consider closing Solinas Road and to not continue with the Town Center Plan. Councilmember Goddard requested that the Council memorialize its position in the form of a resolution.
