Mayor and Town Council
Janet Coleson, Town Attorney and Heather Abrams, Town Manager Adoption of an Ordinance Amending Fairfax Town Code Chapter

12.36 Amending Park Rules

RECOMMENDATION
Adopt an Ordinance amending Fairfax Town Code Chapter 12.36 to remove provisions that are no longer needed due to adoption of the anti-camping ordinance in Chapter 9.30.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
While drafting the anti-camping ordinance, staff noticed there are sections of the Town Code that are no longer needed and may be viewed as potentially in conflict with provisions of the anti-camping ordinance.

Amending Town Code Chapter 12.36 to remove unnecessary or outdated provisions will resolve any potential conflict.

The Town Council previously discussed this Ordinance at their November 5, 2025 meeting and approved the first reading.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
