• In 2012 it was determined all three bridges required
maintenance
• The overall goal is to maintain these bridges to extend their useful life

CEQA
Process
BPMP
Initial Study (IS)
Mitigated Negative
Declaration (MND)
BPMP may result in
impacts on the
environment, but we can
mitigate those impacts
Environmental Impact
Report (EIR)
Analyzes impacts
Impacts can be
mitigated
Impacts cannot be
mitigated
Environmental Impacts from BPMP
• Air Quality, Biological Resources, Cultural
Resources, Geology and Soils, Hydrology and Water
Quality, Noise, and Tribal Cultural Resources.
• IS/MND concluded that all environmental impacts
can be mitigated to less-than-significant levels.
• IS/MND includes a Mitigation Monitoring and
Reporting Program to ensure environmental
impacts are mitigated during construction
Public Review Process
• Draft IS/MND was circulated for a 30-day public review period January 16 – February 16
• Letters were sent to residents who are most impacted by the project and notice was advertised in the Marin IJ
• Two letters with comments were received relating to
Canyon Bridge. The Final IS/MND includes responses to
these comments and no significant changes to the
project occurred based on the comments.

Closing
• Conclusion:
• All potentially significant impacts can be mitigated to a less- than-significant level. • There is no substantial evidence that the project will result in significant environmental impacts with mitigation in place.
• Recommendation:
• Adopt the IS/MND and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP)
• Approve the project
