RECOMMENDATION
Reappoint Lisa Hillstrom to serve another full four-year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission.
BACKGROUND
The Parks and Recreation Commission was established in 1988 as a Town Council-appointed Commission. The Commission consists of five members. The Parks and Recreation Commission oversees the public parks and recommends and organizes events and activities for Fairfax residents
DISCUSSION
The Town Council first appointed Lisa Hillstrom to the Parks and Recreation in 2022. Currently Lisa is the Chair of Parks and Recreation Commission and her term expired on March 31, 2026. If reappointed, her new four-year term would expire April 15, 2030.
Lisa has expressed a desire to continue serving and volunteering on this committee.
Lisa has brought a strong dedication and enthusiasm to this commission. The Town is grateful for Lisa’s willingness to continue serving in this important role.
