RECOMMENDATION
Reappoint Joe Franaszek to serve another full four-year term on the Open Space Committee.
BACKGROUND
The Fairfax Open Space Committee (“FOSC”) is an advisory body to the Town Council. The Council first established this committee in 2004, dedicated to preserving open space in and around Fairfax with a membership of seven citizens.
DISCUSSION
The Town Council first appointed Joe Franaszek to Open Space in 2022. Currently Joe’s term expires on October 6, 2026. If reappointed, his new four-year term would expire September 2, 2030.
Joe has expressed a desire to continue serving and volunteering on this committee.
Joe has brought a strong dedication and enthusiasm to this committee. The Town is grateful for Joe’s willingness to continue serving in this important role.
