To Fairfax Town Council <[email protected]> Dear Town Council,
I ask that Item 7 be continued until after the council reorganization of the December 2026 TC meeting.
Please consider waiting until after the termination of our current Town Manager and the seating of the next Town Council to enter into this agreement. It is the next Town Council that will have work with its next Town Manager, not the current Town Council. The next Town Council should make the decisions pertaining to placement of its executive.
Fairfax has worked with Peckham and McKenney in the recent past. More recently than with Ralph Andersen Associates.
Indeed, the most recent recruitment efforts performed by Ralph Andersen Associates for Fairfax faced long delays and were considered “failed recruitments”. During these failed recruitments under the past reliance on Ralph Andersen Associates, our Sixth Cycle Housing Element became tardy and the future of our town and our town budget were adversely affected.
I would like to draw the council’s attention to pages 5 and 6 of the Ralph Andersen Associates proposal. This is the list of Relevant Experience. The Town of Fairfax (2021) is listed on page 5 and the Town of Yountville (2026) is listed on page 6. Both these recruitments were for the same individual. The latter being this firm’s one-time successful placement for Fairfax being poached away from our town, a past client. We cannot not be proud of this.
