CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Catherine "Cat" Moy called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
On roll call were Councilmembers Doug Carr, Doriss Panduro, Scott Tonnesen, Rick Vaccaro, K. Patrice Williams, Vice Mayor Pam Bertani, and Mayor Cat Moy.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
George Kennedy spoke about needing additional parking for the Matt Garcia Community Park.
PRESENTATIONS
1. Melonie Reynolds of Gates + Associates presented the Matt Garcia Community Park Master Plan Update.
2. Peter Winch and John Gibbs of WRT presented the Parks & Recreation Master Plan Work Session.
Councilmember Panduro requested there to be more outreach events in District S. She recommended adding an event at Grande Circle during National Night Out.
Councilmember Vaccaro stated that parks om Fairfield are not family friendly.
Councilmember Carr stated that Octo Inn Soccer Complex only has a singular use for soccer and should incorporate a walking loop.
Councilmember Williams stated that there needs to be a balanced number of parks in each district and overlay demographics to identify equity issues for park access to all residents. She also requests that the City investigate the property fees that the City received to be used for park improvements or new parks.
No official action was taken.
