Dear Mayor Moy:
On behalf of the Green Valley Landowners Association (GVLA,) we are respectfully requesting that the Fairfield City Council vote to modify the City of Fairfield General Plan to allow the treatment of Solano Irrigation District (SID) water for delivery by SID to the Middle Green Valley Development.
It is consistent with GVLA’s mission to maintain and enhance the rural character of Green Valley.
The GVLA Board of Directors was directly involved in the planning for over a decade, and as a result, offers its endorsement of the Middle Green Valley Specific Plan. This endorsement was earned through a collaborative public / private effort that occurred over the course of nearly twenty years by a diverse group of area residents, the Solano County Planning Department, and world-class planning professionals.
This amendment is a rational, economic and logical solution to a regional water distribution issue, and we fully endorse the modifications to the City of Fairfield General Plan to accomplish this end.
