Subject:Council Meeting 10/15 Comments on LLMD11 Budget Hello,
My name is Catherine Nilsen and I am a homeowner in the Paradise Valley area of Fairfield. I am concerned about the Lighting, Landscaping, and Maintenance District 11 budget management. There seems to be improper budget changes from the voter approved plan. LLMD11 funds Paradise Valley voted for in 2022 should be fully restored to their intended purposes, and the city must improve its transparency, accountability and interaction with the Communities they serve. Better interaction needs to be a priority for Public Works.
When LLMD 2023-11 was passed in 2023, we were promised an oversight committee to ensure that Paradise Valley Homeowners had a voice in how our tax dollars were spent. I fully support the Oversight Committee and believe they are necessary to ensure our tax dollars are spent properly.
