CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2024-273
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GATES + ASSOCIATES LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS TO PROVIDE DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE HEART OF FAIRFIELD DOWNTOWN TEXAS STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – PHASE 2
WHEREAS, the Heart of Fairfield Downtown Texas Streetscape Improvement Project (Project) proposes to enhance the street scape to provide a safer and more inviting experience for pedestrians; and
WHEREAS, the Project is being completed in phases to reduce impact to all users of downtown and City planned events; and
WHEREAS, the City requires outside professional design and technical services to develop and prepare construction-ready documents for the Phase 2 Project; and
WHEREAS, Gates + Associates Landscape Architecture (Gates) is qualified to provide professional design services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Fairfield that certain agreement for professional design services with Gates for the Project in an amount not-to-exceed of $385,408.
Section 2. The city manager is hereby authorized to execute contract amendments for an amount not-to-exceed $38,541 or 10% of the contract amount.
Section 3. The city manager is hereby authorized to implement the above-mentioned contract.
