RESOLUTION NO. 2024-287
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT INVOICES TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
ENERGY (DOE) ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION BLOCK GRANT (EECBG) PROGRAM AND RECEIVE REBATE VOUCHERS AND AUTHORIZING AN UPDATE TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2024- 2025 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Equipment Rebate Voucher Program is designed to assist states, local governments, and Tribes in implementing strategies to re duce fossil fuel emissions and to improve energy efficiency; and
WHEREAS, the City has been approved for rebate vouchers up to $164,990 by the EECBG Equipment Rebate Voucher Program; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase electric vehicles for the municipal fleet.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager or designee is hereby authorized on behalf of the City of Fairfield to submit invoices to the EECBG Equipment Rebate Voucher Program and receiv e rebate vouchers.
Section 2. The City hereby agrees to implement the program in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Federal Assistance Reporting Checklist.
Section 3. The council hereby approves a transfer of up to $ 123,010 from Fund 512 to Fund 155 to pay for unreimbursed expenditures from the program.
