RESOLUTION NO. 2024-288
APPROVING A CONTRACTOR SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH NEW IMAGE LANDSCAPING COMPANY FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT COMMUNITY PARKS – ALLAN WITT
PARK, LAUREL CREEK PARK, AND CIVIC CENTER
WHEREAS, landscaping services in the Community Parks – Allan Witt Park, Laurel Creek Park, and Civic Center are funded with assessments levied under the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 28.31 of the Fairfield Municipal Code, contracts for landscape maintenance services may be let on the basis of demonstrated competence and professional qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into a contractor service s agreement with New Image Landscaping Company (New Image) for landscape maintenance services in Community Parks – Allan Witt Park, Laurel Creek Park, and Civic Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager or designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Fairfield a contractor services agreement (Agreement) substantially in the form attached between the City of Fairfield and New Image for landscape maintenance services at Allan Witt Park in the amount of $ 137,259, Laurel Creek Park in the amount of $100,986 , and Civic Center Park in the amount of $49,920, and for a total authorization of $288,165 for an initial 12-month term beginning January 1, 2025, and ending December 31, 2025.
Section 2. The city manager is hereby authorized to extend the agreement for up to two additional terms of up to 24 months each term , including a negotiated scope of work and compensation adjustment not -to-exceed the June San Francisco -Oakland-Hayward Cons umer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (not seasonally adjusted for all items) upon mutual written agreement of both parties.
