RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve appointment. Perform oath of office.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE
The City Council is being asked to approve the appointments as follows:
Poet Laureate
Term January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027
Michael Wyly
DISCUSSION
The Poet Laureate serves two-year terms. The Poet Laureate’s terms are from January 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
Councilmembers Doriss Panduro and Scott Tonnesen interviewed the applicant on August 19, 2024. The applicants listed above are recommended for appointment, and the recommendations were submitted to Mayor Catherine "Cat" Moy for consideration.
Mayor Moy agreed with the recommendations provided.
