CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-08
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
WITH SUISUN CITY TO PROVIDE FIRE VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
WHEREAS, Fairfield is a general law city and was incorporated in 1903; and
WHEREAS, Suisun City is a general law city and was incorporated in 1868; and
WHEREAS, Suisun City is not able to provide its own fire vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs and is seeking an alternative; and
WHEREAS, Fairfield is willing and able to provide the requested services through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at a reasonable price; and
WHEREAS, Fairfield’s Public Works Department - Fleet Management Division will provide maintenance, inspection, and repair services as outlined in the MOU.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to execute an MOU with Suisun City to provide fire vehicle maintenance and repair services.
Section 2. The city manager or design ee is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to implement the MOU with Suisun City for fire vehicle maintenance and repair services.
