RESOLUTION NO. 2025-15
APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AND THE FY 2023-2022 CONSOLIDATED
ANNUAL PROGRESS EVALUATION REPORT
WHEREAS, the City is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to submit an Annual Action Plan (AAP) for FY 202 4-2025 in order to receive annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) entitlement funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield submitted the FY 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan to HUD on July 3, 2024. The Action Plan was approved by HUD in September 2024; and
WHEREAS, substantial amendments to the Annual Action Plan require a Public Hearing to receive public feedback and resubmission of the Annual Action to HUD for approval; and
WHEREAS, a public notice seeking public comment and notification of the public hearing was published on December 18, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is authorized to submit the FY 2024-2025 CDBG Annual Action Plan First Amendment to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and execute any and all documents and contracts associated with the FY 2024-2025 CDBG Annual Action Plan Amendments.
Section 2. The city manager is authorized to execute contracts for CDBG funding related to the Annual Action Plan Amendment allocating $474,530 for affordable multi-family housing preservation.
