RECOMMENDED ACTION
Adopt resolution.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE
Approval of this resolution will allow the Parks & Recreation Department to contract with Folger Graphics, Inc. for printing services of the Activity Guide. A Request for Proposals (RFP) was released for the printing and delivery to the post office for distribution of the Activity Guide three times a calendar year. Wesco Graphics, Inc. was initially approved to be the preferred vendor for this contract. However, the vendor has failed to meet the established contract requirements. As a result, Folger Graphics, Inc., which also submitted a responsive bid dur ing the procurement process, has been identified as the next qualified vendor. Staff recommends proceeding with Folger Graphics, Inc. to ensure timeline and effective fulfillment of the contract.
DISCUSSION
The Activity Guide is the Parks & Recreation De partment’s primary communication and promotion vehicle and will be mailed to the residents of Fairfield in zip codes 94533 and 94534.
Each issue lists upcoming activities, classes, programs, special events, park and facility rental information, how to regi ster and much more. Additional copies will be distributed throughout various City facilities.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The cost of publishing and mailing is expected to be just under $50,000 each year ($150,000 for the three-year contract) from the Marketing – Printing & Binding Outside Services Fund.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION
The council may choose not to approve the agreement with Folger Graphics, Inc.; however, this could delay the publication of the Summer 2025 Activity Guide.
