CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-28
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD AND KENNEDY/JENKS CONSULTANTS, INC. FOR THE URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN 2025 UPDATE
WHEREAS, the State of California requires the City of Fairfield to complete an Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) update every five years; and
WHEREAS, Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, Inc. (Kennedy/Jenks) prepared the City’s 2020 UWMP update; and
WHEREAS, Kennedy/Jenks has significant knowledge of the City’s water supplies and environment through its preparation of the City’s 2020 UWMP update and associated demand projections; and
WHEREAS, Kennedy/Jenks has extensive knowledge of the applicable regulations and guidance documents, as well as experience on similar projects; and
WHEREAS, staff seek to enter into an agreement with Kennedy/Jenks for the City’s UWMP 2025 update.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Fairfield a professional services agreement between the City of Fairfield and Kennedy/Jenks for the UWMP 2025 update for a total not-to-exceed fee of $132,000.
Section 2. The director of public works or designee is hereby authorized to take all steps necessary to implement this resolution.
