RESOLUTION NO. 2025-35
AUTHORIZING AN UPDATE TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2024–2025 BUDGET FOR THE HEART OF FAIRFIELD DOWNTOWN TEXAS STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – PHASE 2
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the plans and specifications and awarded a contract in the amount of $1,474,224.05 to Ghilotti Bros. Inc., for the Heart of Fairfield Downtown Texas Streetscape Improvement Project - Phase 1B Improvements (Phase 1B) on December 3, 2024, by Resolution No. 2024-274; and
WHEREAS, the construction bid for Phase 1B was below the engineer’s estimate and there is sufficient funding remaining to reallocate for the design of the Heart of Fairfield Downtown Texas Streetscape Improvement Project - Phase 2 (Phase 2); and
WHEREAS, Gates + Associates Landscape Architects was awarded a professional services agreement for the design of Phase 2 for an amount not to exceed $385,408 on December 3, 2024, by Resolution No. 2024-273; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funding was not allocated in the approved fiscal year (FY) 2024-2025 Budget for the design of Phase 2 (CPW070127), thus requiring a budget transfer of $73,949 from Phase 1B; and
WHEREAS, the revised appropriation constitutes an update to the FY 2024 -2025 Budget approved pursuant to Resolution Nos. 2024-132 and 2024-133.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The council hereby approves an increase in appropriations for Phase 2 (CPW070127).
Section 2. The council hereby approves a budget transfer of $ 73,949 from Phase 1 B (CPW070093) to Phase 2 (CPW070127).
