CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-36
ADOPTING THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD’S 2025 STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM
WHEREAS, historically, the City Council adopts an annual legislative platform that establishes the priorities, principles, and policy statements of the City of Fairfield City Council; and
WHEREAS, the legislative platform creates the basis for advocacy efforts, alerting legislative partners of the greatest needs of our residents and where additional help is needed; and
WHEREAS, the 2025 Legislative Platform remains mostly unchanged from the 2024 Platform and continues to reflect the current issues and challenges of the City of Fairfield; and
WHEREAS, the Platform highlights legislative interests, including policy positions intended to strengthen the City’s operations, increase funding opportunities, and maintain local authority; and
WHEREAS, the City will respond to various legislative items through out the year, but priority policy areas will include affordable housing and homeless resources, criminal justice reform, and maintaining local control.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The City Council approves the 2025 State and Federal Legislative Platform.
