SummaƟon of contacts and informaƟon relaƟng to AuthenƟc license:
My colleagues and the public should know that former AuthenƟc CEO and major owner Brian Mitchell told me, as (Councilwoman), and late Mayor Harry Price of his father’s passing and a change in ownership due to it. His father, Dr.
Albert Mitchell, was a major partner in AuthenƟc’s Fairfield venture.
NoƟficaƟon was made soon aŌer Dr. Mitchell’s death on February 10, 2022.
I did tell the city manager, but took no other acƟon. I don’t know what Mayor Price did with the informaƟon.
In the past month or so, I have had mulƟple conversaƟons with Jim Inglebright of BrightSpot, and Brian Mitchell of AuthenƟc.
Neither of them asked me to take or oppose any acƟon. Both wanted clarificaƟon on Ɵming of hearings and generally reiterated what their lawyers outlined in leƩers that are already public.
2 Brian Mitchell told me he had tried to contact Councilman Manveer Sandhu but hadn’t heard from him. I offered to pass that informaƟon on to Councilman Sandhu and I did.
