STATEMENT OF ISSUE
The Successor Agency to the Fairfield Redevelopment Agency (Successor Agency) is the owner of the property located on Mangels Boulevard, more commonly known as Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 0148 -540-030 (Property). It would like to have several items related to an expired Disposition and Development Agreement and subsequent amendments removed from the title.

DISCUSSION
The Successor Agency is the current owner of the Property previously encumbered by a Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) between the Fairfield Redevelopment Agency and HJ Shein, Inc., a memorandum of which was recorded on February 18, 2000. The DDA was amended six times, with a memorandum recorded for each amendment (collectively, the DDA).

The DDA expired on June 4, 2024, and the Successor Agency would now like to have the DDA removed from the title to provide a clear and updated title report to any future buyers.

Staff worked with the City Attorney’ s Office to draft the proposed Termination of Record Affecting Real Property (Termination Document) and are looking for approval from the Board to allow the executive director to execute and record the Termination Document.
