Good Morning Councilmember Panduro,
Hope you are doing well. I've been reluctant to follow up with you on this matter as I truly feel bad that the council has had to spend so much time on this matter when there is far greater business to be conducted in the city. Listening to one of the last meetings when the proposed shipyard was discussed was very encouraging!
You may have already received notice of this but our company was selected by the Napa-Solano Central Labor Council for their union employer award. I've attached the flyer that they provided. I'm amazed at the great lengths Embarc has gone to try and discredit us, all while violating local and state regulations themselves. What they can't change is the fact that we are the largest union employer in the California cannabis market and pay more tax to the State of California than any other operator. Needless to say, we have a proven track record. Beyond those facts, we are one of only two operators in Fairfield that is actually local, which is something that was weighed heavily in the selection process (we did not game the system unlike others).
We are hopeful that after tomorrow's meeting we can transition our focus from fighting to keep our preliminary approval, to focusing on getting our store location open and operational. The result of this will be roughly 50 union jobs and a minimum of $800,000 in additional tax revenue to the city.
If you have any last minute questions for me, do not hesitate to reach out.
