CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-68
AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES WITHIN COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 1 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026
WHEREAS, this City Council, by its Ordinance No. 86 -19, adopted May 6, 1986, authorized the levy of special taxes within Community Facilities District No. 1 (CFD No. 1) of the City of Fairfield, all in accordance with the special tax formulas established by and contained in said ordinance; and
WHEREAS, said ordinance provided, in part, that the council was authorized in each year to determine the specified special tax amount for each fiscal year, provided that such rate may not exceed the maximum set forth in said ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the amount of the specified special tax and amount thereof for each of the lots, pieces and parcels of land within said CFD No. 1, for the fiscal year (FY) 2025-2026 is attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and is hereby made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The council hereby finds and determines that public convenience and necessity require that special taxes be levied by the district as included within Exhibit A.
Section 2. The public works dire ctor, or his designee, of this city is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution and its exhibit to the auditor-controller of the County of Solano with a request that said special taxes be collected upon the tax roll fo r the FY 2025-2026 for the lots, pieces and parcels of land identified by said resolution and exhibit. Said auditor-controller may add to such taxes a suitable cost of the collection thereof upon said tax roll.
Section 3. The proceeds of the special taxes , except for the costs of collection thereof, shall be remitted to the treasurer of this city for use as set forth in the proceedings taken with respect to CFD No. 1 by this council.
