RESOLUTION NO. 2025-100
APPROVING AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD AND THE FAIRFIELD-SUISUN UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT TO PROVIDE AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM SERVICES
WHEREAS, Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) receives State funding to provide Extending Learning Opportunities Programs (ELOP); and
WHEREAS, the FSUSD solicited a Request for Proposals ( RFQ) process for selecting contract service providers to staff and operate their ELOP programs; and
WHEREAS, the FSUSD Board of Directors approved utilizing the City of Fairfield, Parks & Recreation staff to serve as a contract service provider to operate th is program at Anna Kyle Elementary, Fairview Elementary, and Sullivan Academy; and
WHEREAS, FSUSD will reimburse the City of Fairfield 100% of the cost associated with providing said program service, which includes 180 regular school days, including early release days between August 13, 2025 , and June 5, 2026 , and full -day service during days outside of the regular school year, between June 8, 2026, and July 3, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager or designee is hereby authorized to execute the independent contract agreement for professional services between the City of Fairfield and FSUSD.
Section 2. Approval for City of Fairfield, Parks & Recreation staff to provide contracted services to FSUSD for the purposes of operating an after -school program at Anna Kyle El ementary, Fairview Elementary, and Sullivan Academy which includes ensuring appropriate staff level, supplies, and equipment as outlined in the scope of serv ice of the contract agreement between FSUSD and City of Fairfield.
Section 3. Approval to hire provisional part-time staff members in the capacity of recreation lead and assistants, and a provisional full -time supervisor to oversee the program, staff, an d agreement.
Section 4. The contracted services period is August 13, 2025, through July 3, 2026.
