RESOLUTION NO. 2025-101
APPROVING A NET NEUTRAL GENERAL FUND BUDGET ADJUSTMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 BUDGET FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE
INDUSTRIAL EMERGENCY COUNCIL PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Fairfield Fire Department is eligible to participate in the Industrial Emergency Council (IEC) training program; and
WHEREAS, IEC, a non -profit organization, coordinates and manages a vocational educational program in collaboration with the state community college system that utilizes state funds to reimburse fire agencies for training completed by on-duty personnel; and
WHEREAS, for fiscal year (FY) 2024-2025 participation in the progra m, the Fire Department is requesting a budget adjustment of $67,301.91 in expenses and $67,301.91 in revenue; and
WHEREAS, the revised appropriation constitutes an update to the FY 2024 -2025 Budget approved pursuant to Resolution No. 2024-132 and 2024-133.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. A budget adjustment of $67, 301.91 in revenue and expenses is hereby approved for the Fire Department in FY 2024-2025 as a result of their participation in IEC’s training program.
Section 2. The city manager and Finance Director are hereby authorized to do all things necessary and proper to implement this resolution.
