RESOLUTION NO. 2025-111
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 7 TO THE DESIGN SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD AND CALLANDER ASSOCIATES, INC.
FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION PLAN OF THE CENTRAL FAIRFIELD REVITALIZATION
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Linear Park Concept Plan and its 5-year Implementation Plan for the Linear Park on March 20, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the City selected Callander Associates, Inc. (Callander) to assist in the development of the construction documents and provide construction assistance for Linear Park Node 4A improvements; and
WHEREAS, on August 21, 2018, the City entered into a design service agreement (Agreement) with Callander to assist the City in the development of California Environmental Quality Act, and National Environmental Policy Act analysis, complete the design development, schematic design, construction bid documents, and construction assistance for Linear Park Node 4A Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City has executed Amendments No. 1-6 with Callander to address scope changes and pursue grant funding opportunities; and
WHEREAS, additional engineering and design services are required to develop the Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment procurement package for Firs t 5 Solano Children and Families and complete construction administration services for the Project; and
WHEREAS, staff have reviewed the proposed scope of work and negotiated the cost proposal provided by Callander; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 2018 -210 auth orized the public works director to administer a 10% management reserve; and
WHEREAS, funding was allocated in the City’s approved 2024-2025 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Fairfield, Amendment No. 7 to the Design Services Agreement with Callander Associates, Inc. for the Implementation Plan of the Central Fairfield Revitalization

Section 2. Amendment No. 7 will in crease the Agreement with Callander by $ 172,790 and reinstate a management reserve in the amount of $50 ,000 for a total not -to-exceed fee of $2,315,506.
