CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-115
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND APPROVE A FIVE-YEAR CONTRACT WITH
FLOCK SAFETY DRONES FOR THE ANALYSIS AND REAL TIME INTELLIGENCE CENTER
WHEREAS, the Police De partment acknowledges that reducing crime, enhancing service, and improving response times within our city is a priority; and
WHEREAS, Flock Safety provides public safety software and drones as first responder equipment that can aid the department with improvements in responding to crime an d leveraging dat a available to the Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfield renewed its agreement on June 20, 2023, for a five-year term with Flock Safety to provide license plate reading services; and
WHEREAS, entering into a new agreement with Flock Safety will p rovide the public safety software and drone as first responder equipment that allows the Police Department’s Analysis and Real Time Intelligence Center (ARTIC) to provide those enhanced services to our city; and
WHEREAS, both the City of Fairfield and Flock Safety wish to enter into a new five-year agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the city manager to execute and approve the five- year agreement for the purchase of the Flock Safety software and drone as first responder equipment.
