CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-116
AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF TWO LIMITED-TERM POLICE SERGEANT POSITIONS
WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, the City Council of the City of Fairfield adopted Resolution 2023 - 149, authorizing 18 Police Sergeant positions in the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the department currently has Police Sergeants out on extended leaves of absences for various reasons; and
WHEREAS, the Police Sergeant position plays a vital role in the daily operations of the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is seeking to fill these positions until the leaves of absences resolve.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the addition of two limited-term Police Sergeant positions for the term of 12 months for a total additional cost of $72,712.
