CITY OF FAIRFIELD
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-150
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SOLANO EXPRESS INTERCITY TRANSIT
FUNDING AND COST-SHARING AGREEMENT BY AND AMONG THE SOLANO TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY, THE COUNTY OF SOLANO, SOLANO COUNTY TRANSIT, THE CITY OF DIXON, THE
CITY OF FAIRFIELD, THE CITY OF SUISUN CITY, AND THE CITY OF VACAVILLE
WHEREAS, Solano Express provides intercity and inter -regional bus services connecting cities within Solano County to UC Davis and the El Cerrito del Norte and Walnut Creek BART stations; and
WHEREAS, the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) has sponsored, and other jurisdictions have joined, the Intercity Transit Funding Working Group (ITFWG) to facilitate shared funding of Solano Express transit services; and
WHEREAS, the Intercity Transit Funding Working Group ( ITFWG) has negotiated a new Intercity Transit Funding and Cost-Sharing Agreement for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the funding and cost- sharing agreement, under which the City of Fairfield will contribute $537,074 in Transportation Development Act funding.
Section 2. The city manager, director of public works, the transpo rtation manager, or designee is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to implement the above-mentioned agreement.
