RESOLUTION NO. 2025-154
APPROVING AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR SERVICE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
FAIRFIELD AND TRAVIS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO PROVIDE
CONTRACT SERVICES FOR AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM SERVICES
WHEREAS, Travis Unified School District ( TUSD) receives State funding to provide Ex panded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELOP); and
WHEREAS, TUSD and City of Fairfield (City) successfully partnered with a Pilot Program to offer an After-School Program at Center Elementary from January 2025 through June 2025; and
WHEREAS, the TUSD Board of Directors approved utilizing the City of Fairfield, Parks & Recreation staff to serve as a contract service provider to operate their ELOP program for the full 2025-2026 school year at Center Elementary; and
WHEREAS, TUSD will reimburse the City of Fairfield 100% of the cost associated with providing said program service on August 13, 2025, and June 26, 2026. This includes Regular S chool Days, including early release days, and full-day services during Intercession periods and Summer break, as outlined in the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD HEREBY RESOLVES:
Section 1. The city manager or designee is hereby authorized to execute the Independent Contract Agreement for Professional Services between the City of Fairfield and TUSD.
Section 2. Approval for the City of Fairfield, Parks & Recreation staff to provide contracte d services to TUSD for the purposes of operating an after -school program at Center Elementary, which includes ensuring appropriate staff level, supplies, and equipment as outlined in the scope of service of the Contract Agreement between TUSD and City of Fairfield.
Section 3. Approval to hire temporary seasonal part-time staff members in the capacity of Recreation Program Lead, Recreation Program Assistants, and Recreation Program Aide to meet staffing requirements as outlined in the agreement.
Section 4. The Contracted Services period is August 13, 2025, through June 26, 2026.
